I am an Arizona native with over 20 years of experience in the dental field. I started my dental career as a dental assistant then moved to the front office where I now do insurance eligibility. The best part of my job is helping patients obtain great dental care while improving their smile. I have two daughters and three stepsons along with two golden retriever pups. I enjoy road trips with my husband Britt, spending time with my family, going to the gym, hiking and taking walks.
Mariela Medina
Dental Assistant
I was born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona. I have been a dental assistant since 2020. I graduated from The American Institute of Dental Assisting. I am currently continuing my education at Mesa Community college with my Associates degree in General Business. I love being able to interact & work with patients on their dental care and oral hygiene.
In my free time I enjoy spending time with my son Julian and my fiancé Anthony.
Ashley Camarena
Patient Coordinator
Ashley is a native of Arizona and has strong ties to the Hispanic culture in our beautiful metropolitan area. She has experience with both treatment and schedule coordinator, she feels compelled to help our patients understand the connection between dental health and our overall systemic health.
As our patient coordinator, her main goal is to bring to our patients, a sense of well-being and relaxation while assuring that their visit flows effortlessly. Ashley understands that our patients have many options when choosing what dental office, they come to and she will work tirelessly to make you feel at home with us.
Ashley believes in giving back to the community and enjoys volunteer work with Feed My Starving Children and Produce On Wheels. Ashley is very family oriented, has two dogs and spends her free time engaged in several outdoor activities, including running and hiking.
Mary Anne Kress
Office Manager
As Office Manager for My Time Dental Centers, Mary Anne Kress will be coordinating everything you need to achieve a beautiful, healthy smile. Mary Anne has thirty years’ experience in the dental field starting as a dental assistant and moving through the various roles of treatment coordinator, front desk, insurance and financial coordinator, and office manager. Along with her team she is excited to use her experience, education, and knowledge to fulfill her commitment to you and the My Time Dental Centers mission to deliver great dentistry. She will partner with you and Dr. Schmelter to determine your goal for your dental health, the treatment options available and the best way to fit this into your busy schedule and budget as comfortably as possible!
Outside the office Mary Anne enjoys reading, freelance writing and spending time with her husband and high school sweetheart Jim, family, and friends. In 2011 they relocated here from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania joining extended family already living in the Valley. Together they have two grown children Kayleigh and James and their son in law Eddie, and grandson, Owen all here in the East Valley. Mary Anne and Jim along with their son and their lovable dogs, Layla and Juliette, live in Gilbert.
